A Letter from Jesus - Look Upon My Hands
Treacherous are the waters ahead if you keep your eyes upon the waves. Fear resounds within focusing on the issues of life. But I have given you an alternate device. I have perceived a greater plan! Perfect love casts out fear. Do you remember this Truth? I, your Lord and your Savior, cast out all evil among you. Look around you, beloved. What do you see? Have you any one left but I? Where did everyone run off to? Ah, but this is pleasing in my sight! Oh how I have waited many years for you. Many, many, settings of the sun have occurred while I waited for your heart, entirely. And now that I have you entirely, I do not relent to give you up to the shifting nature of this world. Many, many, wars have been battled for your heart. Some more serious than others, and although you often felt weary in the fighting, it was then, beloved, that I became your perfect strength.
So tell me, love…why have you found your soul to be downcast? Why believe that I have somehow become disappointed in your weakness? You are walking upon a journey that has not been seen by many. Your obedience and radical nature has set you apart among the rest. To fit in with the crowd is foolish, for you were born to lead the crowd to me! You must not look like those whom walk in darkness; instead you must illuminate my light to all who look upon your beauty. You see, I speak of the beauty that rests within your gentle and contrite spirit. Your heart is that of a diamond among the roughest of plains. A joyous sight to see!
It is important that you know my heart towards you. I have written this letter to your existence because you have been listening to many voices that are not of me. Who has spoken ill of you? I shall justify your integrity! Who has accused your character? I shall write them novels…each one regarding all of your intricate and beautiful characteristics! Who dares to reject you? I shall show them my pierced hands that prove of how loved you truly are! Oh beloved, don’t you see? Have you not heard? My heart beats wildly the moment you shift your focus to the heavens! As the tears run down your sweet face, I count each one and collect them in a bottle that is not to your understanding. Ah yes, you are loved. You are cared for!
As you read this, feel my love swell up in your heart and overflow into your Spirit! Close your eyes and breathe in the newness of my presence! I am quickening you, beloved! I am restoring all that has been lost. Rest in me.
Just lay your head upon my hands, and as I gently kiss the top of your head, remember that these same hands that hold you in this moment are the same two hands that were stretched from the east to the very far west upon the wooden pieces of a tree.
These are the very hands that gently washed the feet of my disciples.
These are the very hands that healed the blind eyes of men.
These are the very hands lifted high in prayer as I released my will to the Father.
These are the very hands that broke the bread and passed the wine in covenant.
These are the very hands that twirled the little children around as we danced.
These are the very hands that called Lazarus from out of his sleeping.
These are the very hands that shook violently when my Father’s house turned into a den of thieves.
These are the very hands, beloved, that created this world. Piece by piece. Detail by detail.
And these very hands are holding you now.
Never allow your mind to disconnect you from who I really am.
I am rejoicing over you just as a husband rejoices over his bride! Can you hear me, beloved? I am proclaiming to the world and shouting from the highest mountains in the heavens, “This one is mine! She is spoken for! He is spoken for!” And you are, my dear one. Let it ring throughout eternity! You have been hand picked! You are chosen! You belong to me! It is in my hands that you were created, saved, redeemed, and protected. If ever you should forget, look upon my hands and remember this simple truth: once bound by death but now brought to life, you were worth it all.
Your Everything, Jesus
